Reader User Profile: /me
page shows incorrect description of "public web address"
#99016
Comments
@DustyReagan Got it. Should we clarify the description to specify the Reader exception, e.g. "Shown publicly outside of the Reader when you comment on blogs." Or is that not necessary? |
We could maybe drop "when you comment on blogs." I think the main message we want to convey is that the URL will be public. However, I feel like we can leave it as is for now. It's still accurate outside of the Reader, which I suspect is the greater use case. Ultimately, I think we can close this issue and maybe revisit the messaging on /me more holistically as the public user profile page evolves. |
Ok perfect, that works for me, thank you! |
The currently copy here is now inaccurate, since we now direct users to their profile page rather than websites when they create a comment:
Let's remove this copy or perhaps the Public Web Address field altogether.
