macbookpro m2pro 14inch.
i use magic trackpad connected to thunderbolt port. other usb c devices are also connected to the thunderbolt port, but they work properly after resuming from suspend/sleep. this other usb c device is actually a keyboard.(hhkb) . closing the lid, suspend/sleep , always disables the trackpad, but sometimes you can still click without any pointer moving / gesture working. not sure if it always does (since sometimes you resume with a pointer on a unclickable area).
m1max studio
also using magic trackpad connected to thunderbolt port.
so, every time, when suspend/ sleep, trackpad(apple external one) multi touch gets disabled in my m2 pro mbp pro as you've mentioned in the reddit discussion.
what i've found out is for both machines when i am on kde/ plasma the click still works, but when i am on hyprland the whole usb c connection seems to be lost.
