With the new law we have to be more transparent regarding the storage of contact information. I have added a temporary section in the terms & conditions so that it is at least stated somewhere that we use your email to send updates.

However, to be more AVG-proof, we should have:

  • An option at the MyArea to either subscribe or unsubscribe to e-mail updates
  • A checkmark at registration to subscribe to updates

I will discuss this further with Jurriaan & Tom to find out what is needed exactly.

For AreaFiftyLAN 2021 we decided to list the possibility of mailing us about deleting profile/user data in the FAQ.
