The current version of the code uses a now-broken workaround to access the GQL API from inside China. Fixing that shows that Twitch appears to be blocking access to the GQL API, at least the way I use it from China. (Or the Great Firewall is blocking it.)

Working on a resolution.

GFW appears to be blocking it again.

0.5.3 and 0.5.4 attempt to evade the GFW again. They aren't perfect so I'm renaming this issue and leaving it open.

They should work if you refresh a few times. Still trying to find a better evasion method.

As of today it's working much more reliably without any code changes. Guess I'll leave it be.

Seems to vary heavily by time. Totally reliable right now, at other times highly unreliable. Hard to test improvements when it's working.
