Angel's Blessing Active Ability

One of the perks of Angel's Blessing Item is that it is also activated when pressing jump mid air, is it possible to disable that? I am using a double jump item from another mod and its really starting to get annoying when i press jump mid air for a double jump i just get accelerated forward destroying all the jump momentum, however i dont want to remove the Angel's blessing because i still take fall damage from double jump and the Angel's Blessing negates that.
