Currently fliclib is not build statically which causes problems that strongly restrict the number of distributions and devices where fliclib can be used. For example, currently it's not possible to use fliclib on OSMC. Also, it seems that it's not working on the shipped Debian image of BeagleBone Black, too. (see #22)
Providing a static build would probably solve these issues and therefore expand the number of supported distributions and devices. I'd suggest if other users experience problems similar to #22, than we can use this issue to shortly document which distributions and devices are affected.
